Town of Keystone, Colorado

Keystone is predominately a winter destination for skiing and a summer destination for conferences, festivals, golf, horseback riding, Keystone Science School and other summer activities. Keystone is, however, mostly second home owners. Many people at Keystone rent their places out when they are not there and some are simply seasonal homes.

I can help you decide the right location based on what you are interested in doing when you are at the resort and if you want to rent it or not. My first job in Summit County was at Keystone Reservations in 1993, so I have experience in knowing what people ask for when coming to Keystone as well as the features and benefits of the different locations Keystone has to offer.

There are a tremendous number of new developments, and a wide variety of properties available. From the ski in, ski out condo to the single family on the golf course, Keystone's wetlands and National Forest make it possible to find the unique mountain property you are looking for.

Keystone Mountain is consistently one of the first ski areas to open each year. I actually remember the days when they would open at 6 am because they could turn on the lights from night skiing and that meant that they could beat any other mountain that planned to open the same day! It is known, not only for its night skiing (12 hours of skiing daily), but for its long, wide groomed trails on 3,148 skiable acres.

Keystone has 3 mountains - Dercum Mountain, North Peak and the Outback. Keystone is not just a winter resort - it's a year round destination with a conference center to have the ultimate business retreat and plenty of year round outdoor adventure.

20 Reasons to Choose Keystone

  1. The largest mountain in Summit County offering 3,148 skiable acres, 20 lifts and two gondolas, all nestled at the foot of 2 unique villages. Keystone offers skiing & snowboarding on 3 mountains and an amazing Terrain Park! Keystone has a fantastic variety of terrain from family friendly beginner runs and designated family zones to steep bowls and trees to venture into. If you feel super adventurous, you can even go cat skiing in Erickson, Independence or Bergman Bowls! Don't forget to bring your night time goggles for night skiing as well! Keystone has the largest night skiing operation in Colorado. Dress warm and ski fast! How much fun is that???!!! The ski and ride program is fantastic for all level of skiers and riders as well!
  2. Lodging options and unit sizes to suit every need and budget. Depending if you are looking for a ski in ski out experience, a hotel room, or a house that you don't leave unless you are enjoying the great outdoors, Keystone has it all!
  3. Award winning and unique, on- and off-mountain, dining venues that cater to everyone that loves to eat! My personal favorite for lunch is the Alpen Glow Stube! I love to take my ski boots off on a snowy day and slip into some comfy slippers provided at the restaurant, sit by a fire, sip a hot drink and have an amazing culinary experience then roll myself back down the mountain! For diner there are many fantastic choices, but my personal favorite for a cozy mountain dining experience would be the Ski Tip Lodge. YUUUUUUMMMMMMMYYYYYY! Keystone is home to multiple AAA 4 Diamond, Wine Spectator and Zagat Survey-rated restaurants
